As part of a consortium lead by GTD, A-SYST participated to the R-WAKE research project together with the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, Deep Blue, Braunschweig Universität and M3 Systems.

We're proud to announce that this project has been nominated and short-listed to the Jane's ATC Awards 2019 - category Innovation.

The R-WAKE project aims at developing a simulation framework to assess the risk and hazards of potential wake vortex encounters for the en-route phase of flight.
It addresses the risk and safety study of the wake vortex encounter hazards in en-route airspace, and the identification of potential enhancements to the current separation schemes in view of enabling traffic and trajectory management improvements with expected benefits in safety, airspace capacity, and flight efficiency of the European ATM system.
